It may sound like a pretty strange name for a wellness business, but it’s built around massage, bodywork and health coaching. My goal is to help my clients really connect with their bodies and achieve a level of wellness that can only be reached when the body is allowed to function as it was designed. The name is derived from how miraculous the human body is, and how it constantly works to maintain a state of homeostasis (internal balance). The body’s mission is to regulate all of its internal systems and ensure they are functioning to their best ability at all times. By design, the body works hard to keep us in a healthy state of being, even when we harm it. To become truly healthy we must eliminate the things that are harming our bodies, as much as possible and to help it maintain this homeostasis in any way we can. Wellness is a choice, and lifestyle changes must play a major part if we want to achieve it. The best way to do this is to work with the body as it was designed, and to help it along the way. With By Design Body Work, I work with all my clients to do just that. Through the help of massage and bodywork, I know that my clients can take better control of their own health and work towards their goal of true wellness. Wellness is a journey, and my goal is to help guide you along this path.
