By Design Bodywork, it might sound like a pretty strange name for a wellness business, but it’s built around my efforts to educate and coach my clients in how to reach a state of wellness and to maintain that level throughout their lives. My goal is to really help my clients connect with their bodies, and achieve a level of wellness that can only come from within. The greatest healer is within us all. When the body is truly working the way it was designed, it’s amazing what it can accomplish.

The human body is a miraculous creation that works hard to maintain a state of homeostasis (internal balance). Its mission is to regulate all of its internal systems and ensure they are functioning to their best ability at all times. By design, the body works hard, 24x7, to keep us in a healthy state of being, even when we do harm to it. To become truly healthy, we must eliminate the things that are harming our bodies and make a conscious effort to include the right things to nourish ourselves. To achieve a better state of health, we often just need to get out of the way and let our bodies work the way they were designed.

Wellness is a choice, and proper lifestyle choices must play a major part if we want to achieve it. The best way to do this is to work with the body as it was designed, and to help it along the way.
